February Reminders – Sheep, Cattle & Deer

Sheep

• FEC Lambs 7-days post-drench +/-
• Book FECRT
• Mix replacement stock with MAE > 2 months pre-mating
• Toxovax & Campyvax vaccinations
• Pre-mating Iodine supplementation
• FEC pre-tup and drench if indicated.

Cattle

• Lepto/7-in-1 Booster for calves if not already given
• Mineral Testing for youngstock
• Consider FECRT for calves and be on the look-out for Lungworm
• Pregnancy Test 6 weeks after the bulls out and mark/tag empty cows. Consider early culls if
• feed shortages
• Arrange Mastitis review/Dry Cow consultation
• Ensure Heifer Teatsealing dates booked
• Mineral Check Cows; preferably by Liver Biopsy

Deer

• Sort Dry Hinds for culling
• Consider Mineral check through the works
• Drench fawns for lungworm and vaccinate with Yersiniavax
• Certified Velveters must return all unused drugs together with completed and signed record
• books.
